What does CSW do with money that has been donated?

Almost all money donated to CSW is spent on counseling sessions for people who need them and for some reason cannot afford them. We have zero payroll. Everyone who works here volunteers their time. This is a labor of love and something we feel is so important. Some funds are used to pay web site fees, office supplies etc..

How much does CSW pay therapist for an hour of counseling?

We use the Medicaid rates set by the state as our guide. These numbers change from year to year but last time we checked, it was $80 an hour. This is less than a private insurance company might pay a therapist and less than a person may pay out of pocket for therapy. The therapist has to agree to these terms in order for this to work. The majority seem okay with this. Especially if they are seeing Medicaid clients already they are accustomed to this rate.
